The Science of Expression
Why a butterfly is blue
The blue butterfly is not blue because of pigment.
Its color emerges from microscopic structural precision — biological architecture shaped under exact environmental conditions within the cocoon. Butterflies that do not achieve these developmental conditions come out brown or gray.
Butterfly Genes was founded on this principle: that precision is not found in static DNA alone, but in understanding how biology is actively expressed — in response to environment, stress, and time.
This is epigenetics.
Genes provide the blueprint.
Expression shapes outcome.
